Trying rice cereal for the first time

We received clearance on Monday from Jackson's pediatrician that he was ready for solids. We tried Tuesday night to feed him for the first time. As you can see from the pictures below. It didn't go so hot.
The very first time we tried feeding him on Tuesday night. Didn't go so hot.
We didn't have much luck the rest of the week because we discovered Jackson goes into major meltdown...
